A Hard Truth About Business

On repetition...

There is no shortcut to repetition.

Often popular culture wants to offer a shortcut to the basics of excellence.

Repetition.

Doing the same thing over and over.

  • Michael Phelps
  • Lionel Messi
  • Beethoven

Anyone who is truly great has repeated and refined their craft thousands, if not tens of thousands of times.

This is a hard truth in business.

I'm reminded of this as I finally got around to submitting an interview request from a Startup Newsletter/ Magazine that first hit my inbox in August.

Insights are useful but repetition cannot be avoided.

And so I return to writing on a blog to hone my craft.

Like the sage advice from Scott Adams when he started his blog.

And how I first cut my teeth when I first started writing 12 years ago.

On Blogger.

Sharing my poetry.

To summon the courage to be better.

But I became better by just writing more.

By not avoiding the hard truth.

That to be a better writer.

I have to write.

Alot.
